The Getty Center has been the cultural hub of the Los Angeles\/Sherman Oaks area for decades and the art center continues to provide world-class exhibits and excellent resources for families and art lovers to enjoy on a daily basis. The Getty was inspired by the vision of art collector J. Paul Getty who begin giving pieces of his personal art collection to LACMA in 1948.<\/p>\n
During the month of March, the iconic museum will host various talks and exhibits including an Architecture Tour, Roman Mosaics across the Empire exhibit, and a Molten Color: Glassmaking in Antiquity exhibit, among other things. The Getty is free to enter and never charges a cover price to visit. If you drive there, expect a small parking cost which is used to keeping the museum updated.
