]]>Not sure what to do Memorial Day Weekend? Well just walk across the street to the Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks War Memorial Park because they are holding their annual Memorial Day Weekend Festival.
It's so nice that the City holds this event! They have rides (including a Ferris wheel and mini roller coaster), carnival games with prizes, and a stage for live entertainment. There are also many local refreshment options.
There is no charge to enter, and you pay per the ride (usually three tickets, $1 apiece)
The Van Nuys-Sherman Oaks War Memorial Park is a great place to spend time with family any weekend! It features a Tennis Court, Community Pool, Baseball Diamond, Basketball Courts, Childrens Play Area, Football Field, Indoor Gym, Picnic Tables, Soccer Field, Volleyball Courts, and Jogging Path.
This event is located right across the street from Krystal Terrace so it couldn't be any more convenient for you!

- Face painting
- Bunny ear crafts
- Easter egg coloring
- Musical entertainment by Kiddle Karoo’s Easter Show
- Costumed bunny and fairy characters
- A strolling stilt walker
Adding to the excitement is Bubblemania, a hands on bubble-making experience and rounding out the activities is an “EGG-ucation Station” with scent containers to give inquisitive guests a chance to see what it’s like to have a bunny’s sense of smell, how to use your hands like a bunny’s paws, and how to identify a bunny’s emotions by the movement of its ears.

The Getty Center has been the cultural hub of the Los Angeles/Sherman Oaks area for decades and the art center continues to provide world-class exhibits and excellent resources for families and art lovers to enjoy on a daily basis. The Getty was inspired by the vision of art collector J. Paul Getty who begin giving pieces of his personal art collection to LACMA in 1948.
During the month of March, the iconic museum will host various talks and exhibits including an Architecture Tour, Roman Mosaics across the Empire exhibit, and a Molten Color: Glassmaking in Antiquity exhibit, among other things. The Getty is free to enter and never charges a cover price to visit. If you drive there, expect a small parking cost which is used to keeping the museum updated.
